mez.ltd (合同会社めずらしこ) is a Tokyo-based consulting and software engineering company. Founded in 2013 by Henrik Falck, we work with organizations that need experienced engineering help, whether that’s consulting on architecture decisions, building software products, or providing dedicated engineering capacity for complex projects.

Our goal has always been to develop great software. As software has become accessible to more people through new devices and deployment models, it’s increasingly important that what we put in people’s hands is not just average, but great.
Great software can and must be developed within the constraints of business reality. We take a pragmatic approach: rapid prototyping, small goal-focused teams, and a relentless focus on the end result. We avoid over-engineering and architectural idealism in favor of solutions that actually ship and actually work.
Delivering is Everything
While source code and modular architecture can be beautiful in themselves, software is nothing if it’s not delivered to users. It’s when users think it’s great that it becomes great software. This is the core of our philosophy.
Every engagement has a clear scope, a defined outcome, and direct founder involvement. We push for thinking independently and keeping the end result in mind. That pragmatism, and the results it produces, is why clients keep coming back.
Founder
Henrik Falck brings over 20 years in the software industry, primarily B2B, across Japan’s technology landscape. Experience spans SaaS products, fintech and banking infrastructure, e-commerce, payment systems, and mobile applications. Roles have included VP of Engineering at a Japanese SaaS startup, solution architect modernizing banking infrastructure, and founder of mez.ltd.
The common thread across two decades: organizations that invest in getting their technical foundations right: identity, infrastructure, architecture; build faster, scale easier, and spend less time firefighting. Organizations that don’t pay for it in compounding complexity for years.
